HEDZOLEH SOUNDZ

One of Ghana's first afro bands in early 70's. Their music is a mix of traditional music with rock. They played in country's nightclub, dressed in traditional costumes and that was fairly radical and typified the new feeling for afrocentric roots and culture which was gainig popularity amongst the youth of the day. Four Hedzolleh's songs will be re-recorded by south african trumpetist Hugh Masekela for the album "Introducing Hedzolleh Soundz". the Soundway label strikes again with this first class
release. Please take a look on their great website : www.soundwayrecords.com/

ARTIBELLA

That tune is a number one jamaïcan classic. The version with singer Stranger Cole is the most famous (Wilburn Theodore Cole, nicknamed "Stranger" by his father, as he considered that he didn't resemble any member of the family !!!)... Anyway, there's also an awesome reggae version, available on very rare 1979 Ken Boothe's Lp, "who gets your love". Oh by the way, if anyone find this album, we'll need to have a very serious talk.

WE GOTTA TO HAVE PEACE

Ok, it was a lazy April month for Sonido Blundetto, but not for the "Bad Bad Things" album. It will be available the 7th of june. The first single with amazing Hindi Zahra on "Voices" is out in a few days, digital and 7", with the Budos Band Horns assault on "Mustang" as a B-side. In the meantime, let's enjoy life & music with a declaration of peace, by El Grando Magnifico Curtis Mayfield.
Peace, Joy, there's no choice.
